Lefty No.3 is the third Nite-Litebot in the series that is made only with my left arm. On June 10th I had right elbow reconstruction surgery, and so for the next few months I am unable to use that arm. As I'm sitting around, I thought I'd try to see what I could do with just my left arm. It has been a lot harder (obviously) than expected, but at least I still get to create. 

Lefty is made from mostly recycled metal. I shaped his heart out of a chunk of acrylic I found and polished it so that it glows in the dark from the LED light affixed to the bottom. The LED light is powered by a 9 volt battery. The light will last more than 50,000 hours. The battery life will last (with nightly use) about 3 weeks or more. You can also get a rechargeable battery at any electronics store.
