Lefty No.2 is the second Nite-Litebot in a series of pieces made only with my left arm. On June 10th I had right elbow reconstruction surgery, and so for the next few months I am unable to use that arm. As I'm sitting around, I thought I'd try to see what I could do with just my left arm. It has been a lot harder (obviously) than expected, but at least I still get to create.

Lefty was constructed using all found objects except for the LED bulb. He is happy to guard at night against small shadows and scary dreams.

Lefty has an LED light inside a burned out incandecant bulb powered by a 9 volt battery. The light is new and will last more than 50,000 hours. I expect with nightly use about 4 weeks or more on one battery. You can also get a rechargeable battery at any electronics store
